Maybe this what happens right before you have a massive change, but Ruthie has been the cutest of her life lately. We thought her Grandparents would enjoy all the cute laughing!
when you duplicate your pic onto your 8x10 document, it automatically matches it's dimensions to the resolution of your new document. here's what you can try:
1. make sure your blank document is only 8x10 inches and 300 ppi. (ppi is the quality). you can see/change that info under "Image Size"
2. make sure you're using an original large-sized picture... like ideally straight from your camera or something like that. if you download it from facebook, or grab it from somewhere else and then try to work with it, the quality and size will be awful (or tiny).
3. if you want to stretch it and see how it looks. just use the move tool (arrow), click on the tiny pic, then make sure to click on the locking chain icon up top so that as you drag the corners out, it keeps it's correct proportion. it may look fine on your screen, but make sure you zoom into 100% (usually done at the bottom left of your screen)and make sure the quality looks okay.
