A few favorite things

We learned over Easter Lainie is obsessed with riding on Papa's lawnmower. Joel did a track around their house for about 40 minutes and every time he tried to stop, she would not have it!

Papa and the Ipad, her favorite combination

I love this sweet face.
You know we love the beach, especially outside of the summer time when it is empty!
 Found a shell!
Only one smiling at a time, should've had their sunglasses!
Let me introduce you to Princess Rapunzel baby dog.  She loves to have tea parties, wear her princess dress and feed all her babies.
I'm getting good at random!

Monday Morning Sweetness

A few weeks ago, Joel got home from work before Ruthie woke up from her nap, I turned on the monitor a few minutes later to see them both passed out in her big girl bed.  So sweet.

Just pure sweet all the way around.  My big helper, always wants to be doing what I'm doing and does a pretty good job at it.
I also posted this on FB, but do any of you have experience with torn ACL's in dogs?  Our beloved Chloe seems to have torn her ACL and it is such a bummer.  Joel's having to carry her up and down the stairs and she's so bored just laying down all the time. I've been researching it like crazy and we are leaning towards the non-surgical route but would love to hear anyone's experiences with it.  From what the vet said, the surgery is thousands of dollars (and will likely happen again within the next year to her other leg), followed by 12-16 weeks of rehab and PT (hello new baby).  My head is spinning.  TY.

Easter Pictures!

We had a great Easter weekend.  We headed to my parents for the weekend and the girls got to spend lots and lots of time with their cousins.  I'm not sure if there is anyone who loves their cousins more in the world than Ruthie.  She gets so excited and has so much fun.  I'm also not sure if there are any better kids in the world than my neice and nephews. They range in age from 6-13, so there is a pretty good age difference between my girls and their cousins and they are so so sweet to the girls.  I'm so glad they have their cousins.  It is priceless and I wish we got to see them all the time.

We went with my sister's family to their church Easter egg hunt.  They had bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, and balloon animals.
It was a lot of fun.  There were a lot of people and Joel decided he would take Lainie and Matt would take Ruthie.  Matt and Ruthie had a strategy of getting eggs and she racked up!

Lainie got two eggs Joel planted her over and thats all she cared about (or rather the candy in the eggs.

One of my fav pics ever.

Of course the Easter bunny showed up.  The highlights were the flower pinwheels, strawberry plants, kites, balls, and light up shoes.

For Easter my family had a feast at my Mom's house, followed by an Easter egg hunt and an attempt at pictures.  The girls got to go first in the Easter Egg hunt and man is there a huge difference in one year.  As soon as Papa said go, Ruthie took off running! She is definitely competitive and I loved it!
This is serious egg hunting.
Lainie just wanted candy.
Then we tried pictures in front of my Mom's next door neighbor's tulips.  For all those of you who can get your kids looking at the camera and smiling, I salute you, and I have no idea how you do it.
This is one of the closer ones.
Then there's this, which totally cracks me up.
 One of my favorites ever.
 Girl Cousins!
Then we got some cousin shots which actually turned out really well.

When we put Gigi and Papa in it, Lainie and Ruthie turned it on.  I'm glad we've got one!

Lainie's obligatory cheeeeessee face, which I had sound on this picture!
Pure joy.  My girl loves a stick.
After the egg hunt, we went inside for dessert and to find the Golden eggs.  Gigi hides special golden eggs for each of the Grandkids.  Its a hit.  Lainie would not put down this ice cream cone and it was EVERYWHERE.  Shortly after this picture, she crashed and we had to leave.

It was an awesome weekend and we can't wait until the next time!
