We had a great Easter weekend. We headed to my parents for the weekend and the girls got to spend lots and lots of time with their cousins. I'm not sure if there is anyone who loves their cousins more in the world than Ruthie. She gets so excited and has so much fun. I'm also not sure if there are any better kids in the world than my neice and nephews. They range in age from 6-13, so there is a pretty good age difference between my girls and their cousins and they are so so sweet to the girls. I'm so glad they have their cousins. It is priceless and I wish we got to see them all the time.
We went with my sister's family to their church Easter egg hunt. They had bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, and balloon animals.
It was a lot of fun. There were a lot of people and Joel decided he would take Lainie and Matt would take Ruthie. Matt and Ruthie had a strategy of getting eggs and she racked up!
Lainie got two eggs Joel planted her over and thats all she cared about (or rather the candy in the eggs.
One of my fav pics ever.
Of course the Easter bunny showed up. The highlights were the flower pinwheels, strawberry plants, kites, balls, and light up shoes.
For Easter my family had a feast at my Mom's house, followed by an Easter egg hunt and an attempt at pictures. The girls got to go first in the Easter Egg hunt and man is there a huge difference in one year. As soon as Papa said go, Ruthie took off running! She is definitely competitive and I loved it!
This is serious egg hunting.
Lainie just wanted candy.
Then we tried pictures in front of my Mom's next door neighbor's tulips. For all those of you who can get your kids looking at the camera and smiling, I salute you, and I have no idea how you do it.
This is one of the closer ones.
Then there's this, which totally cracks me up.
One of my favorites ever.
Girl Cousins!
Then we got some cousin shots which actually turned out really well.
When we put Gigi and Papa in it, Lainie and Ruthie turned it on. I'm glad we've got one!
Lainie's obligatory cheeeeessee face, which I had sound on this picture!
Pure joy. My girl loves a stick.
After the egg hunt, we went inside for dessert and to find the Golden eggs. Gigi hides special golden eggs for each of the Grandkids. Its a hit. Lainie would not put down this ice cream cone and it was EVERYWHERE. Shortly after this picture, she crashed and we had to leave.
It was an awesome weekend and we can't wait until the next time!
