Snow Days.....

Sunday evening we were watching the weather and thinking we would just be getting a light dusting of snow, if any with the big storm coming through the Southeast. Joel had a 2 hour delay from work Monday, so when he got up at 7am, there was nothing. By the time he left for work at 7:45, the ground was covered and it looked like a blizzard outside.

It snowed hard for about 5 hours, and all in all, we got about 7 inches!

Which as most of you know is almost unheard of at the beach!

Once it stopped blizzarding (is that a word?), we bundled up and headed outside to play!

when we came back we ran into our neighbors who were going to body board down the driveways. You know at the beach, you don't really keep sleds, so body boards work! Joel went a few times, but the concrete underneath the snow made for a hard fall when you're running and jumping down it! And cold when it went down your coat!

Everyone needs to be thrown in the air in the snow!

We have had a great time with the snow and an even better time since Joel has been off work!
