A Great Weekend!

We had a great weekend.  While we were really sad that the girls cousins (plus families) left after my favorite week of the year, we had a lot of fun.

We've had some great tidepools down at the beach lately which are perfect for the girls to splash around in.

Its also been really nice to try and survive the heat here!

 It can be stifling at our house and just a short walk gets us the breeze off the water.  I love it.

We also decided to try and finish up our kitchen remodel!  We got the tile at Costco (big surprise) when it was on coupon and we love it. It is a mix of marble and glass and we're really happy with it. 

We spent Sunday's naptime doing the main wall and tackled the short wall after the girls went to bed.

  This was a fun, quick project and picking the smaller glass tiles was so much easier.  Our last house we tiled with 4 inch square tiles that had to be cut with a wet saw and it took forever with so much waste. 

These tiles we were each able to cut quickly and reuse so many pieces there was very little waste.  We actually have two full boxes to take back! 

I'm hoping tonight we'll grout and tomorrow we can caulk and finally finish up the kitchen! When thats done, I will post a before and after.  We love it!
