I absolutely cannot believe it has been one month since Ruthie entered the world! This has by far been the fastest month of our lives. A few things about Ruthie in month one:-She loves to be held close and snug
-It is hard for her to go to sleep. We think she just doesn't want to miss anything, another way she is just like her Daddy. If anyone has any tips on teaching newborns how to self-soothe, please send them over!
-The longest she has slept has been 4 hours, it seemed like a week!
-She has found her voice!
-She makes hilarious faces
-She still looks just like her Daddy (with the exception of my ears!)
-Chloe loves her!
-She loves her Daddy and calms quickly with him
-She is in a MAJOR growth spurt right now and is eating almost every hour (for those of you who have been ignored by us lately, that is the reason, Sorry!!)
-She loves the paintings over our couch by our good friend, Susanne Ball.
-We think her eyes are turning bluer rather than browner. I think since she looks just like Joel, hopefully she'll get his eyes too!
-She is L O N G and Skinny, those Roberts gene's are coming through strong!
-She has really long feet!
We haven't gotten an intentional smile, but I snapped this picture at just the right moment to make it look like we have:-). We can't wait for the real smiles!
This is my "Mom, stop taking my picture" pucker. How cute!

And the secret for our kids in settling them and encouraging sleep is by swaddling them. It works like a charm! Google the Miracle Blanket and make sure to watch the video of how they swaddle.
